Our Story
Go Fast Races emerged from a family collaboration. The Angelle family history with horses & Barrel Racing is born out of passion and sacrifice. It all started when Mitzi and Gil let Sarai start riding at age 7 with little brother Gilly close behind.
After purchasing their first two horses that quickly grew to five, the Angelle family faced hardship. Maintaining five horses was not a challenge until Mitzi’s company sold and she was jobless. The question became to either sell the house or the horses. The passion and love they have for the industry was more than for a conventional lifestyle. Many family members and peers believe it was impractical (when is barrel racing ever practical?) but they moved forward.
The Angelle family is deeply invested in the industry. Mitzi worked with racing organizations, Gil took a side job at a Feed Store, Sarai’s success elevated their opportunities and Gilly is the visionary. Gilly was once'd asked what barrel racers wanted most. “They just wanna go fast”. The family effort to maintain the passion culminated into Go Fast Races.
